Get ready to embark on an adventure around Australia with Wanda’s Christmas Adventure storybook and resources!
Wanda’s Christmas Adventure is a Twinkl original storybook about a wallaby who embarks on an adventure around Australia. She spends time creating thoughtful gifts for her family and friends, travelling to famous Australian landmarks to deliver her gifts in person. She begins her adventure in Melbourne and proceeds to visit many places, from Kangaroo Island to Rottnest, meeting Australian fauna along the way. This story is the perfect festive resource to introduce to your F-Y2 students to prompt discussion about Christmas in Australia.

Consolidate your students’ knowledge of the story with Wanda's Christmas Adventure Comprehension Cards. Each card includes a question and four multiple-choice answers, with the right answer in the bottom right-hand corner. What a great activity to improve comprehension and reading skills!
Your students can practise sequencing the events of a story with Wanda's Christmas Adventure Sequencing Activity! This resource includes twelve images with animals from the story and their designated locations. Learners are required to cut and paste the images in order on the sheet provided. You can even go a step further and get them to retell the story with a buddy!
Wanda's Christmas Adventure Word Search includes story-based words with three differentiated levels to choose from. With this activity, students are able to practise their spelling and strengthen their visual perception at the same time.
For this writing activity, students need to design a new character for Wanda to visit in another location. Why not collect their work at the end and compile the worksheets into a book? Laminate it and put it on display in your classroom and voila, your class has created their own storybook!

Are you into board games? We’ve got you covered! Wanda's Christmas Adventure Board Game is the perfect game to play in small groups. All you need is some counters and dice. Each player takes turns to roll the dice and move around the game board. The winner is the player who is the first to make it all around the game board.
Wanda needs a sturdy handkerchief swag to keep all her presents in, so why not get your students to design one for her? Children need to design, create, and test their project for its capacity to hold objects. This activity comes with a prompt sheet, a net, and an invention sheet for the sketch of their designs.
