An interactive repeating patterns game based on fruit.

This interactive maths game is ideal for introducing and exploring repeating patterns

In this game, children are challenged to continue repeating patterns made of different types of fruits. They need to choose the correct picture to continue the pattern.

All of the patterns in this game are AB patterns. For example, pear, orange, pear, orange, pear, orange. Each pattern contains three units of repeat. There are then three options for children to choose from to continue the pattern.

This game can be played on an interactive whiteboard, computer or tablet. It could be used during whole-class activities or provided for children to explore independently or in small groups.

This interactive game can be used to support the nursery White Rose Maths block Making Patterns Together. It would be especially useful for the sixth small step, 'Continue AB patterns with support'.
