This lovely The Gingerbread Man Card Matching and Snap Game is a fantastic way to teach your class about the different characters in the traditional tale of The Gingerbread Man.
The resource comes with 12 characters from this traditional tale and can be used in two ways:
Why not play first as a matching game in pairs? Simply place all the cards face down and then turn over two cards at a time. Who can make the most matches?
The game could also be played as Snap! Print out 2 sets of the cards. Shuffle the cards and share between two children. Children take it in turns to turn over the top card in their pile and place it into a pile between the two players. Say "Snap!" when they match an indentical card. The person who says snap first wins all the cards in the pile. Who will win the most cards?
